Moves to Soothe: Healing Practice for Black and Brown Pain

A sharing of healing modalities that facilitators and the attendees have found have helped them identify and heal from the impacts of trauma and stress on themselves. Each attendee, including facilitators, will leave the workshop with the awareness of at least one new healing strategy that they will continue to research and utilize in their healing journeys. Five or more healing strategies will be presented through instructions, histories and applications. Healing strategies may include breathwork, vocal soothing and relaxing movements; walking, listening, sensory & silent meditations, and herbal medicines (ex. chamomile/manzanilla, rosemary/romero and thyme/tomillo)
